Legal - Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information AKCybex collects when you visit akcybex.com or contact us, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

1. Who we are
AKCybex (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a software development and digital services company. For the personal information described in this policy, AKCybex is the data controller. You can reach us at info@akcybex.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, the message you write and your indicated project budget. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. If you email us directly, we receive whatever information you choose to include.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and how you interact with them, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Depending on your cookie choices this may include session-replay data (mouse movement, clicks and scrolling) recorded in aggregate by Smartlook. We do not ask Smartlook to capture what you type into form fields.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of data (such as health, religion or political views) and ask that you do not send them to us.
3. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, and cookies for analytics and advertising. Where the law requires it (for example in the UK, EEA, Switzerland and Brazil) we show a banner on your first visit and keep analytics and advertising storage disabled through Google Consent Mode until you accept. Elsewhere these cookies are enabled by default and you can opt out at any time.
Either way, you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

4. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a project quote.
- To send you our newsletter and marketing you have asked for, and to manage those subscriptions.
- To operate, secure, debug and improve the website and our services.
- To measure and improve our marketing, including advertising campaigns on Google and Meta.
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies and for marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, keep the site secure and understand how it is used at an aggregate level.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain records or respond to lawful requests.
6. How we share your information
We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed for the purposes above:
| Recipient | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Website hosting, infrastructure and form rate-limiting | Policy |
| Resend (Plyfe Inc.) | Enquiry and newsletter email delivery and contact lists | Policy |
| Google LLC | Analytics, advertising and form protection (reCAPTCHA) | Policy |

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
7. International data transfers
Several of our providers are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred and processed there. Where we transfer personal data out of the UK or EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or a provider’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and contact details for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each provider’s settings and default retention periods.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you may request to know, delete, or correct your personal information, and opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising — which you can do through our cookie banner. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email info@akcybex.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
10. Data security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable, security-reviewed providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
The site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Third-party links
Our site and tools may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice.
